Description
Dr. Kasra Maasumi is a triple board-certified neurologist specializing in interventional pain management, headache medicine, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). He is a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) and Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University, where he focuses on advanced pain procedures and the neurological complexities of brain injury and chronic headache disorders.
Dr. Maasumi completed his medical training at the University of California, Irvine, followed by neurology residency at UC Irvine and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He went on to complete fellowships in Headache and Facial Pain Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and Interventional Pain Management at the University of California, San Francisco, where he later served as Assistant Professor and Director of Outpatient Headache Infusion Services.
With over a decade of academic and clinical experience, Dr. Maasumi combines neurological expertise with precision-based interventional treatments to help patients restore function and quality of life. He also serves as an expert witness and California Medical Board consultant, bringing extensive experience to complex med-legal evaluations involving head injury and pain-related disorders.
