Zenia Cortes, MD

Dr. Zenia Cortes, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with specialized expertise in sports medicine and foot and ankle surgery. Her practice focuses on the treatment of lower-extremity injuries and conditions, including fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, cartilage damage, bunions, hammertoes, and other lower-limb deformities.

Dr. Cortes earned her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed her orthopedic surgery training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She went on to complete fellowship training in sports medicine and foot and ankle surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center and The Foundation for Orthopaedic, Athletic and Reconstructive Research.

Throughout her career, Dr. Cortes has treated patients across a wide range of athletic activities, helping them safely return to sport and function. When appropriate, she utilizes arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques designed to reduce soft-tissue trauma and support recovery. Dr. Cortes is available for QME, IME, and SIBTF evaluations throughout California.
