Dr. Coppelson is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a focus on pain management, non-surgical orthopedics, and neurology. He earned his M.D. from New York Medical College and his B.S. in Biology from California State University Northridge. Dr. Coppelson completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UCLA and an internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York.
His clinical training includes working at renowned institutions such as Rancho Los Amigos and Cedars-Sinai Hospitals, where he managed orthopedic, neurology, and psychiatry services. He also gained expertise in outpatient musculoskeletal pain and orthopedic medicine at UCLA. Dr. Coppelson currently serves as a primary treating physician for neurological and musculoskeletal orthopedic pathology. Recognized for his research contributions, Dr. Coppelson received the Best Resident Research award from the UCLA Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.
His research experience includes investigating the sensitivity and specificity of clinical exams and MRI findings in meniscal pathology and working as a research associate at the California State University Northridge Center for Cancer Research.
