Dr. Ashley is a highly esteemed orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy, hand and upper extremity surgery, and sports medicine. His practice focuses on treating carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger digits, shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, and tennis elbow.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and his Doctor of Medicine from Moorehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Ashley completed his internship in internal medicine at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, and general surgery at UCSF/Mount Zion Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. He continued his residency in general surgery at Mount Zion Medical Center and orthopedic surgery at King/Drew Medical Center. Furthering his specialization, he completed the prestigious Joseph Boyes Hand Fellowship at USC. Licensed as a physician and surgeon in California since March 1987, Dr. Ashley is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the California Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Ashley has served as a staff attending physician at King/Drew Medical Center since 1997 and maintains a private hand surgery practice. He has contributed to medical literature in notable publications, delivered presentation at prestigious forums and worked as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Charles Drew School of Medicine.
