Dr. Cheng is a clinical psychologist specializing in forensic neuropsychology and psychology. She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University and her B.A. in Psychology from Cal Poly, Pomona. Dr. Cheng has extensive training, including forensic seminars at Patton State Hospital and a certificate in neuropsychological assessments. She is certified in juvenile competency evaluations and psychiatric-legal report writing.
In her career, Dr. Cheng works as an AME, IME, and QME for California’s Department of Workers Compensation. She also serves as a court-appointed medical examiner and psychologist. Her military experience includes serving as an Administrative Officer in the Army Reserves, conducting psychological evaluations and providing mental health support. Dr. Cheng has worked at Patton State Hospital and as a consulting neuropsychologist at St. Jude Medical Center. She has contributed to numerous research projects and publications and received several awards. Dr. Cheng is a member of APA Division 40 and holds lifetime memberships in Golden Key and Psi Chi. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, she is committed to advancing her field through teaching, research, and clinical practice.
