
Dr. Woods emigrated to California 33 years ago in order to complete sub specialty training in orthopedic foot in ankle surgery at the Wagner Institute in Whittier California. Upon completing his training, he entered private practice while also serving as a clinical instructor at Orthopaedic Hospital, known for its historic focus on pediatric orthopedic care. Dr. Woods specialized in treating children’s foot and ankle disorders, including clubfoot and other lower extremity conditions. During this time, Dr. Woods developed an interest in industrial medicine, working with medical evaluation specialists and becoming a Qualified Medical Evaluator. He later expanded his expertise to become an Agreed Medical Examiner following the implementation of SB 899 in 2005. Throughout his career, Dr. Woods has integrated the principles of orthopedic medicine and surgery with the specific requirements of objective reporting per the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), always guided by a commitment to social responsibility and patient care.
